Covid-19 - Nyth Robin Statement
Due to the unprecedented situation Nyth Robin is temporarily closed until it is safe to open again
11th May 2020
After the recent annoncements by the UK & Welsh Governments, we are still following the ‘stay at home’ advice, and as such Nyth Robin remains closed. The UK Government’s ‘roadmap’ out of lockdown indicates that July is the earliest we may be able to open, but we will of course only do so when the Welsh Government give the go ahead, and it is safe for our guests, our community and us.
Bookings arriving in May or June
We will not be open until at least July. If you have a booking for these months we can move your booking to later on this year, to next year, or hold your deposit for a future stay. We will be getting in touch with everyone who this affects with these options.
Bookings 1st July onwards
We are still hopeful that we will be able to open for the Summer, so at the moment any bookings from 1st July onwards remain in place. We continue to monitor the situation and will be in touch as soon as we know any different.
Our 2020 calendar remains closed to new bookings. We want to be confident we will be able to facilitate all exisiting bookings for this year before accepting any new bookings. If you’d like us to let you know when we are taking bookings again, please get in touch.

24th March 2020
We made the decision to close last week based on the latest Government’s advice for social distancing and reducing unnecessary travel, and also the impact extra visitors to a small rural community might have had.
At the time local friends and fellow businesses all raised concerns about the impact an influx of visitors would have on local services as well as the NHS. It was (and still is) the right thing to do for the well-being of both our customers and our local community, as well as ourselves and the business.
And now, just only a few days later (although it feels like a lifetime at the moment), the Government has advised the whole country to stay at home and only leave their homes for essential needs .
We are very sad not to be able to share our lovely site with guests, but will be taking this opportunity to keep on improving Nyth Robin. We’ll be posting updates and developments on facebook, so do keep checking in!
Bookings arriving in April/May or June
It is unlikely that we will be open for these months, so are beginning the process of contacting all customers. Please bear with us as we do this and only get in touch if urgent. Although we are not a big site, our Customer Services is a one woman outfit – i.e Sadie!
We are currently asking customers to defer their bookings, however, as we don’t know when we will be able to take bookings again, we are asking guests to holding fire on re-booking. When we are able to re-book we will be in touch and if we are not able to find a suitable date for you, we will then offer a credit note.
As a small business we hope you understand why we are taking this course of action, and we’re sure when we are all on ‘the other side’ of this a holiday to sunny Wales will be just what you need!
Bookings 1st July onwards
At the moment these bookings still stand, and we are remaining positive that we will be open then. Obviously, this may change as the situation does.
