Glamping
What time is check-in/ out?
We will let you know check-in times with your pre-arrival information, however, this is usually 4 – 9 pm. Check out is by 10 am.
Can I check-in early/ check-out late?
During our busy times (weekends/ school holidays) this is not possible. We may be able to accommodate in quieter times.
Does your glamping have private facilities?
No, however, the well-kept site showers and toilets are not far from any of our units. The Gwdihw Hut does have it’s own compost toilet.
What do you provide and what do I need to bring?
We will provide you with a comprehensive list of what we include and suggestions for what you should bring with your pre-arrival information.
What cooking/ kitchen facilities are there?
Each glamping unit has its own kitchen with a 2 ring gas stove & gas. The kitchens are well equipped to make basic meals, including pots, pans, kettle and cooking utensils. All accommodation has a cool box and we provide ice blocks for these. The vintage caravan has a fridge. There is also a communal freezer.
Do you provide firepits and wood?
Absolutely -we love nothing better than a campfire – so don’t forget the marshmallows! We provide a box of wood to get you going and any more can be bought from reception.
Can I come glamping with friends/ family?
We are a quiet site so not suitable for large groups. However small groups of no more than 6 adults who are looking for a relaxing holiday are welcome. Burt the Yurt is neighbours our horsebox Betty, so great for a couple of families.
TOURING
What time is check-in/ out?
We will confirm check-in times with your pre-arrival information, however, this is usually 1 – 9 pm and check-out is 12-noon. Please do not to arrive outside of these times as you may not be able to get onto your pitch and we do not have any additional parking spaces or a waiting area.
Do you allow BBQs & campfires?
Yes. We also hire firepits and sell seasoned wood in the site shop. Please do not take any wood from our woodlands as this provided important habitat for wildlife and is not suitable for burning.
How big are your pitches?
Our pitches are not a uniform size (which is what many people love!) but the upper terrace pitches can fit caravans or motorhomes up to 8 m, and the lower terrace up to 7 m. You’ll find a motor mover really handy for larger units.
Is there a size limit for caravans or motorhomes?
Our lower terrace has max length of 7 m and up to 8 m on the upper terrace. If you are over 8 metres we do ask you to get in touch before booking so we can make sure we have a pitch available that is suitable for larger units.
I have a small campervan/ motorhome, can I only book the Small Van Pitch?
No! Campervans/ small motorhomes are welcome on any of our pitches. Due to its size and access, the small van pitch is for smaller units only, and not suitable for caravans.
Can I bring an awning?
Yes and there’s no extra charge. We recommend bringing sturdy pegs such as rock or nail pegs for pegging into the ground.
Can I bring an extra car?
We allow for 1 car per pitch, including those with motorhomes. You must let us know if you want to bring an extra vehicle as we have limited space and there maybe an additional charge for this.
Do your pitches have electric/ EHU and what is the amperage?
All our touring pitches have EHU and are 16 amps
Do you have fully serviced pitches?
No, but water points and empty are not too far away.
Do you have grey water & chemical toilet/ ELSAN empty points?
Yes. If you are on the lower terrace access to disposal points are via some steps or up a slope. Please note we do not have a drive over grey water empty point for motorhomes.
Is there a good TV reception?
Yes. The nearest mast is in Aberystwyth, so any ariels need to be pointed that way!
Can I come with a group of friends or family?
We welcome multi-household groups but ask that groups bookings are no more than 6 adults. As a quiet site, this ensures all our guests enjoy a relaxing holiday.
I’ve been before – can I request a specific pitch?
We can not guarantee specific pitches as this can leave us with ‘gaps’ in the calendar, but we will always do our best to accommodate returning guests.
