When started Nyth Robin we wanted to make the site and business as green and as sustainable as possible.
So, we’re chuffed to recently been awarded the Greener Site award by Campsites.co.uk in their annual camping and glamping awards.
This is awarded to “eco-friendly sites that prioritise sustainability with eco-conscious practices, offering campers a chance to enjoy nature whilst still protecting it.”
And these are just some of the eco features we have that have helped us gain this award:
Plenty of green space!
Nyth Robin is surrounded by woodlands and natural planting, which is popular with many native birds and other wildlife, so our guests can enjoy a peaceful woodland escape immersed in nature
Greener Glamping Holidays
We also provide eco-friendly glamping in our quirky accommodation in Wales. Our cosy woodland cabin has its own compost toilet and is powered by solar, so guests can completely unplug and switch off.
Our Bell Tent is also off-grid glamping, with a solar panel for lighting.
Eco-Friendly Facilities
The solar thermal panels on the roof of our facilities heat the majority of our hot water (we also have a ‘back-up’ heating system for those cloudier days!)
We make it easy to recycle with clearly labelled collection points and collect food waste for composting. The recycled hand towels are also composted, and we use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
These are just some of the ways we’re helping reduce the impact on the environment, but we know we can do more, so have lots of exciting ‘green’ projects ahead at Nyth Robin!
