Nyth Robin

Glamping & Touring holidays near Aberdyfi

A little bit about us...

Our Story

Nyth Robin is owned and run by Grant & Sadie. We bought the site in 2016 having fallen in love with the area and site, which then was just a small caravan park. We opened as Nyth Robin in 2017.

Since then, we’ve been busy adding the current facilities block, glamping accommodation, a communal area and a pizza oven. As well as general site upkeep and improvements.

Grant is our master craftsman, site handyman and arborist! He designed and built the facilities block, our social area, Y Nyth and the pizza oven. Grant also built the glamping kitchen and outside areas. A handyman indeed!

Sadie is in charge of all things customer-facing – from bookings and guest communications to chief bedmaker.

We are both very hands-on on the site so it’s most likely it’s us you’ll see around doing jobs around the site. We believe this helps us get to know our guests better and create the best guest experience. We also love chatting with guests, finding out where they’ve been and getting their top tips for the area.

We also have our very own campsite hound, Rustin, who is mostly in charge of security!

Our Site

Nyth Robin is just outside of the pretty seaside village of Aberdyfi/ Aberdovey on the west coast of Wales. We are set in 7 acres of our own woodland alongside the Dyfi Estuary.

We are a small site with 6 bespoke glamping units and just 9 touring pitches. We were both keep campers and glampers before taking on Nyth Robin, so hope we’ve taken the best from our experiences and added it to the site with our own stamp.

Nyth Robin is a quiet, relaxed site where we hope our guests can get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and unwind.

We try not to have rules and regulations but do have some dos and don’ts to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. And we are always about, so if things aren’t quite right when you’re with us – just let us know!

Our facilities

We provide all the usual facilities you’d expect – showers, toilets, washing up area, water, rubbish collection etc. For touring guests there are both grey water and Elson empty points.

Our facilities are always well maintained and looked after, and our reviews often highlight how clean they are.

We also have a small shop on-site selling essentials, some local/ Welsh goodies and firewood, plus you can hire a fire pit here too. We also have lots of tourist information and local maps.

Y Nyth/ The Nest is our undercover communal area – so there’s a place to relax on rainy days or some much-needed shade on hot summer days. Here you’ll also find our woodfired pizza oven, where we run pizza nights most Saturdays, and also Wednesdays in the school holidays. Find out more.

Our Ethos

We are a small owner-run site which has been created by us with our vision and love.

We are passionate about looking after our planet, so where possible we re-use, upcycle, and repurpose. We make it easy to recycle, we provide compost waste collection, and our flushing toilets are actually compost toilets. Our water is heated by solar thermal as much as possible and we have solar panels providing power on some of our glamping g units

When building and creating areas on-site we use as many locally sourced products as possible, some even from our own woodland.

And there’s more we can do, and we are always looking at ways we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Beautiful location. The amenities were fantastic. Amazing accommodation. The site was just the right size and not over crowded. The views were breath-taking. Would highly recommend to anyone.
