With days getting noticeably shorter, muchrooms sprining from the ground and and leaves starting to turn golden there is a definite autumnal feel in the air.
Autumn at Nyth Robin
We think autumn is a great time for a visit to Nyth Robin and mid-Wales. The summer crowds have disappeared but there’s still lots going on and plenty to explore.
Autumn is a great time for getting out and about in the woods where the leaves put on colour changing spectacle. And there are lots of woodlands to choose from in mid-Wales. We have our own small woods where the ancient oaks are usually the last to change colour. Or we love an autumn walk-in nearby Tan Y Coed, as the beach woodland here is particularly beautiful at this time of year. Visit Mid Wales has plenty of ideas for local walks.
The RSPB reserve at Ynys Hir is always worth a visit for a wander around the reserve and seeing what birds (and more!) you can spot from their well-placed hides. Barnacle geese, lapwing and wigeon can all be seen out on the salt marshes. Why not join one of thier guided walks?
The Silver Mountain Experience near Aberystwyth also has lots of special spooky activities for Halloween. With some ghoulish twists on their tours and pumpkin carving activities, theirs plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
Plus the sunsets can be amazing at this time of year. We love getting a fish & chip supper and watching the sun go down over Cardigan Bay from Tywyn promenade.
Sounds great, so when’s Nyth Robin open to this year?
Good question! We are open for touring and glamping until the 3rd of November,. All our availability is online here.
