Relax With Forest Bathing!
If you’re looking for a bit more calm in your life, then have you ever heard of forest bathing and how it can help with your mental well-being?
Forest bathing comes from the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, the simple and therapeutic act of spending time in the trees and nature. Japanese studies have shown that shinrin-yoku/ forest bathing, improves sleep quality, mood, ability to focus, and stress levels.
And if you’ve been following the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week you may have seen that a garden focussing on the benefits of forest bathing has won the Best In Show Garden. The designer, Ula Mariz, says she took her inspiration from birch groves and filled the garden with the sound of water, and woodland flowers.
And forest bathing comes free with any stay at Nyth Robin! Our small woodland is edged by a stream and bordered by many woodland flowers. There are paths to explore and some benches dotted around so guests can enjoy the benefits of forest bathing.
So during your stay at Nyth Robin, leave your phone in your accommodation and stroll around the woods, listening to the sounds and taking in the sights. Let nature give you a big hug!
