Dog Friendly Days Out
Days out for you and your dog
If you fancy a day out with your pooch then here are just a few ideas of activities that you can both enjoy. You can also check out Visit Mid-Wales for more dog-friendly activities.

Aberdyfi Beach
If you’re coming on holiday with your four legged friend then there are plenty of walks in the area for you and your dog – check out our Walking Holidays page for more details.
We also asked our hound Rustin for his top walkies tip and he says you can’t go wrong with a trip to Aberdyfi beach. With dunes to explore and miles of sandy beach to run on all year round it’s a real dog winner!

Tal Y Llyn Railway
Our favourite local steam railway is also a favourite with dogs. After all, what’s not to love about a gentle train ride through the glorious mid-Wales countryside with the promise of an exciting walk at Dolgoch falls at the end.
You can board the train at Tywyn or Abergynolwyn – find out more.

Corris Craft Centre
Corris Craft Centre, an arts and crafts centre and design gallery, has 9 individual craft workshops where the talented artists, craftspeople, designers and makers create an eclectic mix of quality products.
The arts and crafts centre is dog friendly and pooches are also welcome in the adjoining cafe and can hekp you explore the on site Welsh Legends Maze!

Cambrian Coast Railway
Dogs are allowed on the local train service. You can join at Machynlleth or Aberdyfi and head to Barmouth or Pwllheli. Or jump off at Harlech and explore the castle ruins.
You’ll enjoy one of Britain’s most scenic railway journeys, whilst your furry friend looks forward to the adventures at the end of the line. Find out more about the Cambrian Line.
